Wondering why a woolen carpet? Several features make up the answer to this question: Durability – Wool fiber can be stretched and deformed countless times,but the wool will retain its original shape. Due to this characteristic, the woolen carpet is durable, strong and dimensionally stable. Elasticity – the ability of wool to return to its original shape after the action of an external force on the fiber. It means that your wool carpet has increased durability and resistance to deformation. While synthetic carpets look “tired” or used and damaged after some time of use, the woolen carpet will have a “healthy” appearance and will be pleasant to the touch. Water repellency / Stain resistance – Because of the naturally greasy layer, your woolen carpet will simply hold accidental liquid spills on the surface for a while or keep dirt on the surface, easily release the same dirt, and enable quick and easy surface cleaning. The fast cleaning reaction removes up to 75% of impurities and there are fewer chances of developing permanent stains. Insulator and temperature regulator – Wool is a good heat insulator and has a natural ability to regulate temperature. Wool is a naturally breathable fiber that constantly adapts to the conditions in the room. A room with a woolen carpet is never too hot or too cold. Sound insulator – Carpets generally have a great role as a sound insulator because they are characterized by low sound permeability. The dense core – wool cortex combined with trapped air between the fibers also helps to reduce the impact of noise in the rooms. MATERIALS: Pure wool, felted, with the addition of flax on some. The production is hand made, using the tufting technique. On the back there is a polypropylene mesh and a decorative cotton fabric.
